Relief Distributed Among Flood-Affected Families

Chattogram, July 18 (CTG Mail):

Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain on Saturday pledged a cash donation of Tk 50,000 for children at Bangla Bazar Hefzkhana and Orphanage in Ward No. 1 of West Chambal, Banshkhali, along with corrugated tin sheets to support the construction of the madrasa building.

The announcement came during a relief distribution programme for flood-affected residents, where food assistance was provided to people stranded by floodwaters in the area.

The event was presided over by Marful Haque Chowdhury Maruf. Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational and charitable institutions while standing beside communities affected by natural disasters.

Among those present were Md. Jasim Uddin, Co-Organising Secretary of the BNP’s Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal Central Committee; S.M. Abdur Rashid; Russell Sikder; Samiat Amin Jisan; Kalamul Haque Chowdhury; Rahim; Erfanul Haque Chowdhury; Rashid; Ibrahim; Khorshedul Alam; Abdul Malek; and other local leaders and community representatives.
