Chattogram, ( CTG Mail ) :

The Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has distributed rice among families affected by recent heavy rainfall in Ward No. 7 (West Sholoshahar) under Bayezid Police Station as part of its ongoing relief efforts.

The distribution programme was held on Tuesday at Mohammad Nagar Square under the initiative of the Chattogram City Corporation. The event was chaired by Abdul Baten.

Representing Chattogram City Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain, Ziaur Rahman Zia attended the programme as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Ziaur Rahman Zia said standing beside people affected by natural disasters is a humanitarian responsibility. He noted that the Chattogram City Corporation has been continuing its relief operations to reduce the suffering of families impacted by heavy rainfall and other natural calamities.

“The city corporation remains committed to supporting affected residents and will continue providing assistance wherever necessary,” he said.

Among others present at the programme were Abu Musa, Advocate F.A. Selim, Ershad Hossain, Abdul Mannan, Hasan, Akbar Hossain Manik, Mahi Rubel, Mamun Khandaker Mohibullah, along with local public representatives, political leaders, social activists and other distinguished community members.
