
In the biennial election of the Bangladesh Film Artistes Association for the 2026–2028 term, Shiba Sanu has been elected as President, while Joy Chowdhury has been elected as General Secretary.
The winners were officially announced early Saturday morning at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC), after members of the Election Management Committee signed the final results, according to bdnews24.com.
According to the official results, 480 of the association’s 573 registered voters cast their ballots in this year’s election. Of these, 416 ballots were declared valid, while 64 were rejected.
Shiba Sanu secured victory in the presidential race with 243 votes, defeating his rival, actor and producer Arman, who received 143 votes.
