The Madina Islami Mission Bangladesh organised an Ashrafi Conference in Chattogram on Wednesday, bringing together Islamic scholars, Sufi leaders, academics, researchers and community figures from across the country to discuss the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Sufi traditions and moral values.

The conference was held at the Engineer Abdul Khaleque Auditorium of the Chattogram Press Club under the initiative of the century-old religious organisation.

The event was presided over by Maulana Muhammad Nizam Uddin Ashrafi, founder and chairman of Madina Islami Mission Bangladesh and a spiritual successor of the Silsila-e-Aliya Ashrafia. They said generations of Sufi saints have carried forward his message of peace, humanity and spiritual enlightenment.

The speakers also highlighted the life and legacy of Makhdoom Ashraf Jahangir Simnani (RA), describing him as one of the eminent representatives of the Prophet’s teachings. They noted that he renounced worldly power and royal privileges in Persia to pursue a life devoted to spirituality and later migrated to the Indian subcontinent, where he made significant contributions to Islamic scholarship, humanitarian service and spiritual education.

They said the successors of the Ashrafi spiritual order continue to promote religious harmony, humanity and Islamic values in different parts of the world.
