Jamaat Ameer Meets Flood Victims and Provides Emergency Food Assistance Following Heavy Rainfall and Hill Runoff

Opposition Leader and Ameer-e-Jamaat, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman MP, visited flood-affected areas across Chattogram and the surrounding hill regions following days of continuous rainfall and flash floods triggered by hill runoff.
The visit took place as many communities continued to struggle with severe flooding and landslides that disrupted transportation, damaged homes, and affected thousands of residents across the region.
During his visit, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman met local residents, listened to the experiences of families affected by the disaster, and observed the overall condition of flood-hit communities. He also inquired about their immediate needs and emphasized the importance of providing timely humanitarian assistance.
As part of the relief effort, dry food and other essential food supplies were distributed among flood-affected families. Volunteers accompanying the delegation assisted in delivering emergency supplies to residents facing hardship due to the ongoing disaster.
Continuous rainfall combined with runoff from nearby hills has caused flooding and landslides in several parts of Chattogram and adjacent hilly areas. Many families have experienced disruptions to daily life, while transportation and local infrastructure have also been affected.
Humanitarian assistance has become a key priority as government agencies, local authorities, volunteers, and various organizations continue relief operations in different affected locations.
