Three Day Nazrul Year Celebration Concludes with Prize-Giving in Chattogram

The three-day closing ceremony and prize distribution of the ‘Nazrul Year (2026–2027)’ celebration, organised in remembrance of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, was held at the District Shilpakala Academy in Chattogram.

The programme was organised by the Chattogram District Administration with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, while the District Shilpakala Academy oversaw its overall management.

Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr Md Ziauddin attended the event as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia, deputy commissioner and district magistrate of Chattogram.

Among the special guests were Md Nazimul Haque, additional deputy inspector general of Chattogram Range, and Md Masud Alam, BPM, superintendent of police of Chattogram. Md Sharif Uddin, additional deputy commissioner (General), was also present.

The programme was coordinated by Ayaj Mabud, cultural officer of the District Shilpakala Academy, Chattogram.

As part of the three-day celebration, winners of various competitions were awarded prizes in an effort to inspire the younger generation with the life, legacy, and literary works of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
