CDA Chairman Belayet Hossain on Wednesday took action to ensure the attendance of officials and employees at the Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) office amid heavy rainfall in the port city.

The CDA chairman visited his office on Wednesday morning and monitored the overall attendance situation of officials and employees. He instructed the concerned authorities to maintain regular office activities and ensure uninterrupted public services despite the adverse weather conditions.

Speaking on the matter, Engineer Belayet Hossain said, “Even during adverse weather conditions, everyone must come to the office on time and ensure services for the people. Any negligence in providing citizen services will not be accepted.”

He said government officials and employees have a responsibility to remain committed to public service, especially during challenging situations. According to him, heavy rainfall or other natural challenges should not become a reason for delaying essential services for citizens.

The CDA chairman also directed the concerned officials to prepare a list of employees who were absent from duty and take necessary action according to the rules.
