Khulshi Ispahani Hills Welfare Association has distributed corrugated roofing sheets among 16 flood-affected families in Banshkhali Upazila as part of its humanitarian support for communities recovering from recent floods.
The distribution programme was held on Saturday at the Banshkhali Upazila Parishad premises, where Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ruhul Amin attended as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the initiative.
According to the organisers, the assistance was aimed at helping vulnerable families rebuild their homes after the recent flooding damaged their houses. A total of 16 families from different parts of the upazila received corrugated roofing sheets under the programme.
The roofing sheets were distributed on behalf of the association’s President Prof. Dr Golam Habib, General Secretary Nur Nabi Bhuiyan, and Treasurer Md Habib by association members Md Alamgir, Masud Karim, and Rezaul Karim Chowdhury.
Advocate Nasir Uddin, along with other members of the organisation and local dignitaries, was also present at the event.
The organisers said the association remains committed to standing beside people affected by natural disasters and will continue its humanitarian activities to support vulnerable communities across the region.
